Triton Tours set for 10 local communities, including Jefferson visit

Iowa Central Community College will hit the road for the next several weeks, making 10 stops around the area for the Spring 2022 Triton Tour.
 
Up first is an appearance in Webster City on the Iowa Central campus on Tuesday, March 1.
 
Eagle Grove, Jefferson on March 9, Gowrie, Fort Dodge, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Manson, Lake City and Storm Lake will follow through the month of March.
 
The Triton Tour brings representatives from the school to visit with potential students, answering questions regarding class enrollment, financial aid, scholarships and more. Food will be provided at each of the 10 stops along with a $500 scholarship drawing.
 
“A member of our admissions, financial aid and advising center will be on hand for each stop,” said Megan Grove, Assistant Director of Enrollment Management at Iowa Central. “Seniors can enroll in their fall classes, file their FAFSA, fill out scholarship information, fill out housing information, assist with their verification process for financial aid and basically any college questions they have can be answered.
 “For students who are not seniors, we can assist them with their college classes and planning for the upcoming school year, along with learning more about our Triton Academies and Career Academies.”
 
All of the events are scheduled for 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
 
“These Triton Tours are also helpful in letting our service area know that we are here for any college help for their students,” Grove said. “We always strive to strengthen our relationships with our area high schools.”
