Water main break to affect service in Jefferson

A water main break in the 500 block of South Walnut Street in Jefferson will affect water service beginning Thursday morning for residents in the areas of South Maple, West Park, South Walnut and West South streets, in addition to Pinet Place and Park Place.
According to the city, the water will be shut off in those areas and will be turned back on as soon as possible.
