Beverly Cherimpes

Beverly Jean Ecklund Cherimpes, 78 of St. Charles, Ill. passed away Oct. 5. She was born Oct. 28, 1935, the daughter of Edward Morgan and Marley Hickman in Perry. Graveside services where held Oct. 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jefferson Cemetery. She attended high school in Jefferson, graduating in1954.
 In 1954, Beverly was united in marriage to Jerry Ecklund. She worked at the Jefferson Public Library, Home State Bank and was Greene County Treasurer. After Jerry’s death in 1976, she married George Cherimpes of St. Charles, Ill.

Beverly is survived by daughter Julie Ecklund Griffin and husband Chris of Bloomfield; grandchildren Elise Ingle, husband Scott of Junction City, Kan., Emma Griffin of Bloomfield, great-grandson Chance Griffin of Sanford, Fla. She was preceded in death by Michael Griffin of Ankeny. She is survived by son, Michael Ecklund and wife Barbara of Salem, S.C.; grandchildren Amanda Shaffstall, husband Matthew of N. Richland Hills, Texas, Jennifer Ecklund of Bedford, Texas, Emily Ecklund of Lubbock, Texas and great-grandsons, Jackson and Jacob Shaffstall.
