Eleanore Mobley
Eleanore J. Mobley, 84, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at her home in Paton.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, Paton, with Pastor Daniel Emmert officiating. Burial was in Dawson Township Cemetery, west of Paton. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie.
Eleanore J. Porter was born March 19, 1931 in Bagley and graduated from Bagley High School. She was united in marriage with George Mobley on January 14, 1951 in Bagley. They farmed in the Bagley and Paton area. Eleanore drove the school bus for Paton-Churdan Schools and was employed with the Gowrie Care Center. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Paton and served as an Elder on Session and was a Sunday School teacher. Eleanore was also a Cub Scout Leader and worked with the Blood Drives for Paton and Churdan.
She is survived by her sons: Randy (Gloria) Mobley of Fonda, Bruce Mobley of Scranton; daughter, Ronda (Tony) Kendall of Jefferson; sister, Marcy Barlage of Jefferson; sister-in-law, Pat Porter of Bagley; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Eleanore was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Hazel (Bennethum) Porter; husband, George Mobley; brothers: Howard Porter, Bob Porter; and sister, Doris Stout.
