Emma Hoffmann Will

Emma Hoffmann Will, 22, Lake Mills, returned to God’s arms on Thursday, Sept. 18, at her home after a courageous and painful five year battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sept. 22, at the Northwood United Methodist Church, 1000 First Ave. North, Northwood, with Reverend Mark Tuttle officiating.  Everyone is invited to wear bright colors.  A time for visiting and fellowship will follow the service.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in the St. James Evangelical Cemetery in Stony Hill, Missouri.

Those wishing to give a memorial in her memory may wish to consider Asbury United Methodist Church, Northwood United Methodist Church, the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, Minn., or to the X-treme Amp’d Camp.  Memorials may be sent to Northwood United Methodist Church, 1000 First Ave. North, Northwood, Iowa 50459.

Emma was born on Feb. 29, 1992, in Russia.  She was the daughter of Reverend Shirley Hoffmann Will and the late Gerald Will.

Emma was an amazing young woman who made friends wherever she went.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Reverend Shirley Hoffmann Will of Lake Mills, Iowa; maternal grandparents, Hollis and Marion Hoffmann of Summer, Iowa; special grandparents, Dave and Sharron Schar of Long Boat Key, Florida; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.  Everyone was family to Emma.

Those who preceded her in death include her father, Jerry; and her paternal grandparents, Norman and Dorothy Whitten.
