Jean Moranville

It is with great sadness that the family of Velma “Jean” Moranville announces her sudden passing on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023 at the age of 91 years.

Jean will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jo Ann Peterson, Barbara Kuebler, Betty Kennedy, Steve Kennedy (Lori); stepdaughter, Lynda Cochran; stepson, Barry Moranville (Faith); brother, Keith Hilman (Lucy); grandchildren, Deanne Kuebler, Rodney Kuebler, Jeremy Kennedy (Jaime), Derek Kennedy (Adrienne), Tyler Tran (Theresa), Sheena Kennedy, Leah Lint (Daniel), Haley Tran; step-grandchildren, Danny Moranville, Laurie Klipstein (Bart), Lonnie Cochran; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 17 years, Dale Moranville; her parents, Arthur and Lucile Hillman; and her siblings, Louise Evers and Vera “June” Shinner.

Jean’s unwavering faith in her Heavenly Father, is the foundation upon which she’s built her life. She loved to entertain, congregate, celebrate, and support others. Anyone who knew Jean knew her love of cooking and baking. She was always happy in the kitchen.

Jean was a lifelong volunteer and knew the importance of giving back to her community and helping those less fortunate. She was an avid blood donor for many years and donated more than 100 gallons of blood in her lifetime. She never gave with the expectation of being noticed. Helping others was a part of her DNA.

Jean was loved by so many. To know Jean was to be loved by her. Her positive outlook, generous spirit, and kind heart left an impression wherever she went. Her greatest gift was in her discipleship and the many friends and family who came to know Jesus through knowing Jean.

As incredible as all these gifts were, Jean’s love for her family was the core of who she was. She valued her calling of wife, mom, mother-in-law, and grandmother above all others.

Her family will miss her significant presence in their lives but rejoices knowing she is at peace and resting as the good and faithful servant she was.
