Jerry Scott

A visitation for Jerry Scott, 69, of Boone, will be held March 7,  at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson with the family present to greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A private interment will be held in the Junction Township Cemetery, Grand Junction.

Jerry Milton Scott was born Jan. 26, 1946 in Fort Dodge. He was the son of Channing Milton and Virginia (Allan) Scott. Jerry graduated from East Greene High School and worked for Boone City Water Works where he retired in 2007.

Jerry was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.  

Jerry Milton Scott died at the Boone County Hospital on March 4, at the age of 69 years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Channing and Virginia Scott, and wife Sheila Scott.

Jerry is survived by his sons: Paul (Laura) Scott of Grimes, and Rodney (Shelly) Scott of Council Bluff; Daughter: Cindy (Don) Scott of Council Bluff; Grandchildren: Brittany Stabley, Ethan George, Tanner George, and Mason George, 3 Great-Grandchildren; and sister Jo (Darel) Catron.
