Juanita Wright

Juanita grew up in Jefferson and Scranton. Juanita was united in marriage to Donald D. Wright on February 14, 1949; they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past February. They were the parents of three children: Connie, Neil and Kevin. The couple made their home in Jefferson. After retirement they spent 13 winters in Las Vegas and the past 25 summers at Lake Okoboji. For over 20 years Juanita drove a school bus for the Jefferson School System with a regular morning and afternoon route, taking kindergartners home at mid-day and driving various Jefferson sports teams to out of town games.

Throughout her life Juanita had many loves, she loved her family, horses, fishing and travel.  

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Bessie, son-in-law Jr. Young, brother Gerald Kennett and his wife Mildred, sister Wyona Hanen and her husband Archie, brother Lloyd Kennett and his wife Waneta, sister Norma Gene McClurg and her husband Marshall and sister Mary June Butler. She is survived by her husband Donald D. Wright of Jefferson; her children: Connie Young of Jefferson, Neil (Jolene) Wright of Panora and Kevin Wright of Mankato, Minnesota; 3 grandchildren: Nichole (Eric) Campbell, Joell (Buddy) Herrick and Danny (Gina) Cunningham; 7 great grandchildren: Grant Campbell, Gaven Campbell, Gage Campbell, Sydney Herrick, Halle Herrick, Skylar Cunningham, and Eliza Cunningham; brother-in-law:  Don Butler of Coggon; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
