Kenneth Wayne Doll was born April 21, 1933 in San Diego, California, the son of Edward and Evelyn (Cowell) Doll. Kenneth graduated from high school in Chula Vista, California in 1952. He married his high school sweetheart, Nita Marie Haney on January 10, 1953. He was honorably discharged from military service in 1955. Together they were blessed with four children: Kenneth Jr., Shannon, Michael and Christopher. The family lived in Lakeside, California until they moved to Estherville, Iowa in 1970. In April of 1995, Kenneth married Florabelle Morris after the death of Nita, in 1993. He and Florabelle lived in Jefferson, Iowa. They enjoyed over 19 years together. Florabelle passed away in November of 2014.

Throughout his life, Kenneth and his family enjoyed traveling to many locations in the United States and Canada. He loved camping with family and friends, working on old cars and keeping himself busy in retirement with pretty much anything he could get hands on.  He traveled throughout the Midwest volunteering to help congregations to build their Kingdom Halls for over 40 years. A favorite pastime of his was to smoke a loin or roast for his friends and family in his BBQ smoker that he built himself.  He was well known for his generous and kind spirit, always ready to help someone in need. Ken’s priority was to live as a man devoted to his God, Jehovah. He dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1967.
