Leo Dumdei
Leo Leroy Dumdei was born June 6, 1929 to Leo Robert Henry Dumdei and Gwendolyn Faith (Shaw) Dumdei. He lived in Ashawa until he was seven when his family moved to Fort Dodge. At the age of thirteen his family moved to Paton. He graduated from Paton High School. He began working for the Chicago North Western Railroad when he was sixteen. He worked for the railroad for a total of 43 years before he retired.
Leo married Donna Neiderheiser on December 30, 1949. Together they had four children: John, Michael, Linda and David.
Leo was an avid gun collector who enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, and working in his shop.

He is survived by his children: John (Jo) Dumdei of South Sioux City, Neb.; Michael (Tonya) Dumdei of Texarkana, Texas; Linda Hoover of Dayton, and David (Teresa) Dumdei of Paton; seventeen grandchildren; and thirty-five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; sister, Mary Romans; mother, Gwendolyn; and father, Leo.
