Marvin Krieger

Marvin Lee Krieger, 62, of rural Coon Rapids, passed away July 21 due to an accident near Grand Junction.

A public visitation was held July 25 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids.

Marvin was born on April 14, 1959, in Perry, and was the son of Ronald and Donna (Deegan) Krieger. He grew up in Spirit Lake and worked several jobs following high school.  

He was married to Amy Stoneking in 1987, and to this union they were blessed with two daughters: Anna and Amber. They lived in Adair and later divorced.

Marvin moved to the Carroll-Glidden area and worked for AAI in Jefferson for more than 20 years.

He was married to Pat Harden on Nov. 21, 2008, at Grace Baptist Church in Glidden by the Rev. Rick Hamilton. Marvin was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he was an Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He also enjoyed breeding and training hunting dogs.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Pat, of rural Coon Rapids; his daughters and their families: Anna Heller (Jacob), of Sioux City, and Amber Krieger, of Des Moines; two grandchildren: Hazel and Henry Heller; his mother, Donna Mast, of Carroll; a sister, Marianne Murray, of Carroll; a brother-in-law, Steven Harden (Jo  Beth), of Newton; a sister-in-law, Rose Siebenaller (Dennis), of Templeton; his aunt, Carolyn Krieger, of Wisconsin; four nieces; and three friends he considered brothers: Dave, Mike and Don.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Krieger, and a sister, Sherry Christensen.
