Norma Jean Milligan

Norma Jean Milligan, a longtime resident of Jefferson, died June 16 at the age of 86 in Kingwood, Texas, after a short illness. Her son and his wife, JD and Sandra Whalen, were at her side.

Norma moved to Jefferson in 1963, and from Jefferson to Kingwood in 2018. She lived with JD and Sandra and she was able to see her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren regularly.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Milligan; parents Fred and Fonnie Stanley; brothers Vernon, Vincent, John, Paul and Norman Jay and her sister Dorothy; and sons Stan and Pat Whalen.

She is survived by her sister, Ester Clause; her son JD (Sandra) Whalen and daughter Mary Lehman; stepson John (Kathy) Milligan; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Per her request, her body was cremated for future interment at Jefferson Cemetery next to her late husband Robert Milligan.
