Norman Tucker

Norman Eugene Tucker, 90, a native of Jefferson, passed away May 16 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on May 23, 1923 to Jesse Landon Tucker and Nellie Eichorn Tucker.

A graveside celebration of his life will be held June 16, at 11:00 a.m. in the Jefferson Cemetery, on East Lincolnway in Jefferson. A celebration luncheon will follow at Noon in the History Boy Theater, 115 S. Wilson St. A memorial service will also be held June 18, at 2:00 p.m. in the Barrington Presbyterian Church,
Barrington, IL.

Norman graduated from Jefferson High School in 1941. He was an artillery officer, (Lieutenant,) in the U.S. Army in WW II. He married Mary Ellen Guess on April 14,
1945. After his military service he graduated from the University of Iowa in 1948 with a degree in accounting. Norman worked more than 37 years as a CPA, and partner in the Arthur Andersen LLP accounting firm in Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and a daughter, Lynn Tucker
(Philip) Brown. He is survived by his wife Carol, daughter Leslie (Michael) Richardson, of Pensacola, sons Jeffery, of Pensacola, and James (Susan), Edina,
MN, son-in-Law Philip Brown, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a number of step-children and step-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or Susan G. Komen Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
