Ronald Tasler

Ronald Gene Tasler, 88, was born March 3, 1934 to William and Ruth (Pittman) Tasler in Perry. He died Monday, Oct. 31, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He graduated high school in Cooper as Valedictorian. He spent two years as an Army Radio Operator in Black Forest, Germany. He returned stateside and went to work for Hallett Construction in Crosby, Minnesota where he was employed as a payroll and purchasing agent. He retired and took up Festivals and Pow Wow events as Tasler’s Kettle Korn and Pork Rinds. He married Janice (Smith) Tasler May 2, 1959 at the United Methodist Church in Jefferson. Born to this union was David Paul Tasler and wife, Sarah (Schluterman) of Van Buren; Lisa (Tasler) Shelton and husband, Larry of Charleston; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Tasler) Hampton and husband Dustin, Anthony Tasler, Olivia and William Shelton; great grandchildren, Maybree and Emmett Hampton.   

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. Memorial service will be at a later date.
