Estel Delos Ott, son of Clarence Ott and Ila Pearl (Smith) Ott, was born Dec. 11, 1926 in Coon Rapids. He grew up in the Jefferson area, and graduated from Lake City High School.

A service for Norman Jon Kiefer was held 10:00 a.m. Feb.7, 2015 at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson. Visitation was after 1:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the funeral home.

Daryl A. McComb died at his home in Seattle, Washington, on January 25, 2015. Daryl was born August 15, 1925, in Grand Junction, Iowa, to Andy and Mae (Winchell) McComb.

Daniel E. Gibson, age 50, of Des Moines and formerly of Scranton passed away on Jan. 23, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Eugene J. Monahan, the son of Fred and Agnes (Grace) Monahan, was born Sept. 15, 1922 in Cedar Township on his parent’s farm near Adaza and departed this life surrounded by his family on Jan.

Maxine Elaine Hanneman, age 89, of Carroll passed away on Jan. 24th at the Carroll Health Center.

Judy Cosens was born June 2, 1941 at the Greene County Hospital in Jefferson to Anna and John Clark. She attended Jefferson Community Schools and went on to earn her LPN degree from DMACC.

Funeral services for Opal Olson, 85 year old Buffalo, Wyoming and former Jefferson, Iowa resident who passed away Jan. 25 morning at the Amie Holt Care Center was held January 30th at 10:00 a.m.
