Local youth compete in Hershey State Track Meet

Several youth from Greene County participated in the Hershey State Track Meet that was held in Marshalltown on June 14. Official results were just recently released. Olivia Shannon took first place out of 30 competitors in the 9-10 girls long jump with a leap of 6’ 7”. She also placed 12th in the 9-10 girls 200 meter dash in :35.31 and placed 10th in the 9-10 girls 400 meter dash with a time of 1:19.10.

The results of other Greene County competitors are listed below.
Sean Coil placed 16th in the 9-10 boys 50 meter dash with a time of :8.81.

Logan Woodruff placed 25th in the 9-10 boys 200 meter dash with a time of :38.18 and placed 15th in the 9-10 boys 400 meter dash with a time of 1:25.50. Woodruff also placed 20th in the 9-10 boys long jump with a distance of 5”1”.

Nathan Wailes placed 15th in the Boys 11-12 100 meter dash with a time of :15.50 and placed 8th in the 11-12 boys long jump with a distance of 6’ 7”.

Bailey Anderson placed 24th in the Girls 9-10 softball throw with a distance of 48’ 6”.
